Who we are
iCarpetClean operates this website and is responsible for the personal information supplied through its enquiry forms. You can contact us using the contact form or by emailing colin@icarpetclean.co.uk. Business ownership and contact information should be completed by the owner before the site goes live.
Information we collect
When you submit a quote or message, we collect your name, contact details, postcode (if supplied), carpet enquiry information, preferred dates and optional images. A one-way hash of your IP address may be stored to help limit abuse. The original IP address and submission date/time are also included in the enquiry notification sent to our designated administrator, to help identify and manage form submissions.
Why we use it
We use this information to review enquiries, provide requested quotes, communicate with you, discuss appointments, and keep relevant enquiry records. This is normally necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a service arrangement or for our legitimate interest in handling customer communications.
Storage and access
Enquiry records are stored in the site database. Photos supplied with an enquiry are stored privately, not published to the gallery. Authorised site administration can access the records. Details of a new enquiry are additionally emailed to the designated business inbox using our website notification system; this includes your message, contact information, IP address and date/time of submission. We do not sell your information or add you to a marketing list through these forms.
Retention and your rights
We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed for the above purposes and any applicable legal obligations. You can request access, correction or deletion, subject to any legal requirements, using our contact page. You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies
The website uses a necessary session cookie for form security and administrator login. The included website does not install advertising or analytics tracking cookies.
